4.2.2 Statistics Dashboard

The statistics dashboard gives you a quick, graphical view, on how your publications are performing with your audience.

Once you are in the statistics>dashboard you will see the following areas:

Quick Stats Graph Panel

This panel will give you quick access to a timline view of page views, issue views, subscribers and shares

Refer to the screenshot below

  1. Choose Title(s)/Issue(s) AND Reporting Time Period
    • Choose the data to show in the graph area (3 below) by selecting the Title(s), Issue(s) AND reporting time period in these dropdown menus
    • You can choose ALL titles and ALL issues if you like OR select specific titles and issues
  2. Stats Categories
    • Select the tabs in these areas to see the graphical data timeline for:
      • Page views:  Timeline graph for page views over the given period.   On the right see totals, page views per visit and unique page views per visit over the selected time period
      • Issue views: Timeline graph for issue views(visits) over the given reporting period.  On the right see totals, views per vistor, and total visitors over the selected time period
      • Subscribers:  Timeline graph for subscriber signups.  On the right see the total number of subscriber signups in the selected time period
      • Shares:  Bar Chart timeline graph for social/emai shares.  On the right see the breakdown of which type of share was made and totals in the selected time period
  3. Graph Display Area
    • This is where you'll see the the chosen data displayed in graph form
    • Page Views, Issue Views and Subscribers tabs will give you a timeline graph over the selected time period and you can click and drag your mouse to "zoom in" on a time period.  In the zoomed in view you can drag the red scroll bar to see more data OR click Show All in the top right to get back to the entire reporting period view
    • Hover your mouse over the entries to get an exact number for that day
    • Click "see more >" in the bottom left for Page and Issue Views to get to the detailed data for those stats

Dashboard Widgets

This area displays widgets that show graphically how your digital editions have been performing.  The widgets are customizable and moveable/resizable so play around with dragging and dropping, minimizing and expanding, and hiding/showing.  The settings are auto-saved to your account for next time you login and view.  

The widgets always display data as you have selected for title(s)/issue(s) and the reporting period above the quick stats graph panel (see #1 above in this article)

Click on the MANAGE WIDGETS button to choose which widgets you want to make "visible" and "hidden" in your dashboard area.

 The widgets available are:

  1. Page Views Pie Chart
    • Shows the distribution % of ALL page views across the selected title(s) and reporting date
  2. Page Views Timeline
    • Line graph showing the number of page views for the selected title(s)/issue(s) over the given reporting period on a day by day basis
    • Hover mouse over the graph to get detailed daily numbers 
    • Drag your mouse to select a target time period on the graph to "zoom in" on that period
  3. Issue Views Pie Chart
    • Shows the distribution % of ALL issue views (visits) across the selected title(s)/issue(s)and reporting date
  4. Issue Views Timeline
    • Line graph showing the number of issue views (visits)  for the selected title(s)/issue(s) over the given reporting period on a day by day basis
    • Hover mouse over the graph to get the detailed daily numbers 
    • Drag your mouse to select a target time period on the graph to "zoom in" on that period
  5. Shares Pie Chart
    • Shows the distribution % of shares (social share and email a friend) across selected title(s)/issue(s) over the given reporting period
    • Major social networks are listed by name (facebook, linkedin, twitter etc) and the lesser known networks will be lumped in an "other" category
  6. Shares Column Chart
    • Bar Graph showing the total number of social and email shares over a given time period on specific dates
  7. Subscribers Pie Chart
    • Shows the distribution % of all subscribers signups across all titles in the given reporting period.
  8. Subscribers Timeline
    • Line graph showing the number of subscriber signups for the selected title(s)/issue(s) in the given reporting period
    • Hover mouse over the graph to get the detailed daily numbers 
    • Drag your mouse to select a target time period on the graph to "zoom in" on that period
