Flipbook 3.0 is a Flash application written in Flash's ActionScript language - version 3.0 (AS 3.0). It's purely a coincidence that we share this version number, 3.0, but this makes it easy to reference which versions of your swf files will work with which technology.

In the past, we required that all swf content be authored in AS 2.0 to comply with our Flipbook 2.0 application, also written in AS 2.0. That simply means your swf content version must match the Flipbook version available for the issue its being embedded onto.
